Above is a picture of a bulletin board I had in my room. On it is a post card with a Michael Jackson picture and right next to that I wrote down the words Bootsy Collins on a small card, hoping one day I would get to play with him. The post card was from Jennifer Batten from a Michael Jackson tour. When I received that I was so overjoyed. Looking back at this now it’s incredible because just recorded on a song with Bootsy and Jennifer Batten. It’s such a thrill for me. Wanting to show this to say that follow your heart and your dreams and the unknown, it’s so amazing where that journey can take you. Jennifer Batten to me has always been one of the greatest guitar players. She expresses herself so amazingly through music.
